TIM PARKS, novelist and translator, published an article in the New York Review of  Books / 24 FEB 2013 / before the elections in Italy.
I have translated this article and abridged his text slightly, which I found most interesting. As I love Italy like the author himself, who has lived there for 32 years, I believe an Englishman in Verona with an Italian wife might be able to explain – from his own experience and personal views – what people in Italy feel like….
